I decided to start the year off by participating in 'The Club's ROCK-ing New Year', a daily challenge where you sculpt a rock for around 1 hour a day based on a base mesh that's provided. I joined in around mid-January, and spent between 1-3 hours per rock during the evenings depending on how much energy I had left in the tank at the end of the day. It was great to try out new techniques and be a bit more loose with the sculpting, letting the shapes flow and resolve themselves. Not the most refined formations, but it was a fun exercise and I felt my speed and quality improving with each day. Thanks to The Club, and all the artists who participated in the challenge for the continual inspiration.
